Q. How is Healthy Lifestyles Tampa Bay different from other weight loss programs?

To be honest, we are not a “weight loss” program. Your program will help you learn a healthy lifestyle. Weight loss is a symptom of the problem. Our focus is on helping you become emotionally healthier, nutritionally conscious and physically fit. Once your lifestyle changes, you will see the results both mentally and physically.

Q. I have been on diets for most of my adult life, I tend to procrastinate when it comes to exercise, how can you help me with that?

Each of our core Healthy Lifestyle focus areas Psychological Fitness, Nutritional Fitness, and Physical Fitness, can help address procrastination. As it relates to Physical Fitness our personal trainers set small achievable goals, ensure you stick to a schedule, and ensure you are rewarded for your efforts. They encourage and support you for each success not matter how big or small.

Q. Do you accept health insurance?

Yes! We accept most Medicare programs and are on most insurance plans listed under Psychological Services. Dr Q offers a FREE consultation to help determine if your program will be covered by insurance.

Q. How long do I have to participate in the Healthy Lifestyles program?

At the initial free consultation with Dr. Q, he will go over all of the options that best fit your needs and lifestyle. Most people do best with a 3-month program, but that will be determined with you and Dr. Q. We want you to reach your goals just as much as you!

Q. Do you use supplements or drugs for weight loss?

No! Healthy Lifestyles Tampa Bay’s program customizes a plan for each person. Each plan is unique! We input your psychological, nutritional and physical fitness information to create a safe, natural and lifelong solution to health issues and weight problems. Your plan is designed for lifestyle changes without dieting or use of harmful supplements.

Q. Do I have to enroll in the entire Healthy Lifestyles program?

No! The program is tailored to your needs. The Free consultation with Dr Q is to assist in figuring out which plan is the best fit for you. Some individuals need the full psychological, nutritional and physical program, whereas others need only the psychological and physical programs. Q. Can hypnosis help me to lose weight and be healthy

Yes! Hypnosis is one of the most effective ways to stop cravings and eliminate emotional eating habits. Most behaviors and impulses originate in the subconscious mind. If that were not so, people could “Think” their way into stopping destructive behaviors. Dr Q uses his psychological training to assist the person to discover the root of their issues, then, combined with hypnosis, helps to neutralize the maladaptive behaviors. It should be noted that hypnosis is used only at the request of the client.
